System

Starting point for the system is a Polygonsurface, this with some parameters was defined. This Parameter are, to be stated: the material thickness, offex a parameter and receiving and deletion of individual faces. The system works equally in 2D (Polygonsurface) and 3D (cube). In the end the parameterized surface is subjected to a Levyprozess. Each of these scripts is computed with the smallest unit, vtx. POINTs.

The next step was to give individual Faces color too play the iteration of the Levyprozesses. This process (as mentioned) is implemented in the Program, it is important to find out, how geometry changes after the individual iterations. In addition there were individual attempts. In the end one example was printed. The Levyprozess is a Alogrythmus, which refines the individual faces. Here is to state that this Program was drawn with Maya, since individual 3D programs takes other Alogrythmen to the basis.

The first investigation with this defined system is in the topic material. In addition there was a substantial distinction between soft wood (Zirbe) and hardwood (mdf plates). In order to get an aesthetically perfect result, different strategies had to be selected within the system. These contained on the one hand openings (mdf plates), on the other hand a closed surface (soft wood). In order to plumb the borders, which could be milled, again the coloured Faces was taken to assist (see System_Color). With the soft wood it was important to adjust the Paramter in such a way that no overhangs were generated, otherwise the milling cutter did not produce accurately geometry.


ProtoKontext

For this a subsystem was designed, which puts around geometry. In order to become fair the deformation and the context, two different strategies (in the ground scaling and in the height of rotation) were defined. Thus the geometry and the context could aproximate itself. For the internal structure a subsystem from a component was genarted. The component is variable in x and y-direction. Also the strength can be steered. The subsystem is additativ combinable.

For this two different variants were defined. For the one uses the color, which was used for the iteration of the Levyprozesses, or one uses the dynamics of the shift and/or adjustment and embeds these in the design as a constructional assistance.
