The basic design strategy of the project is to evolve the whole structure out of a single surface.

Different parameters like the division of the pattern or their degree of deformation can be chosen before running the script.

The project is generated out of a single surface, so the first step is to gather attributes and parameters for the following operations. Out of the rotation of the surface-normals a data-grid is generated, which provides information about the change of curvature throughout the surface. To create a Volume, the curves forming the grid are split and afterwards rotated out of the surface creating a new surface with their end points. Furthermore, the patterns are drawn on the surfaces and differently divided according to the curvature on the surface. Out of the resulting pattern, which is deformed by the curvature in the specific area, a system of loft tubes are generated. To get an even and use-able result, the selection of a partner curve depends on the two parameters; size and distance. The aim is to find as many couples as possible. First, the curves on the edges are connected, then the lofts are circulating to the centre to provide a maximum range of possible partners for each curve. The used curves are trimmed out of the surfaces to give the object the final look.

An inhabited facade is created which could be formed out of one surface. The structure is flexible in use and scale.

The individual results are endless, not random free forms.
